This typeface was created as the conclusion to my study abroad experience in Venice, Italy. In my design, I aimed to capture the congested, controlled-chaos feeling caused by the influx of tourists to the islands. I also took inspiration from the historic architecture that is unique to Venice, reflecting that in the slightly imbalanced proportions between the top and bottom serifs.

I took various specimens during my time in Venice, and I studied chiseled type to create an accurate, inspired design.
